Local, fresh & Flourishing
As we begin our new season, it’s time to bring back our Music at the Market segment!
We are very fortunate to have a very large pool of talented local musicians in our County…and beyond! They come to the Market each week and provide you with live, local music while you eat, shop and visit with your friends and neighbours. They are a very important part of the whole Market experience and a large part of what makes the Market so special and unique.
Every time we welcome a new musician or group to play for us, we like to introduce you to them. Our buskers are not paid, but they come to the Market for the joy of sharing their music and artistry with you. They play open case and often have their music available for purchase, so please don’t be shy to show your appreciation for them.
Now that we have expanded, we are very happy to be able to showcase two fantastic musicians every week!
This week, May 28, 2016 we are happy to have Glen Jackson playing with us.
Glen Jackson is a singer/songwriter from Pictou, NS.
Although it had always been within him, it was only when Glen moved to Pictou, Nova Scotia in 2004 that he found his home and true passion in music. Over the past six years he has been writing and performing including his original material and entertaining crowds near home.
Two of the songs found on Revisionist History were entered into CBC’s Searchlight contest in past years, Nothing’s Harder Than Goodbye and Fall.
Grab a bite to eat or a drink and then sit and enjoy the entertainment! It’s all part of your Saturday morning destination.
